[Write-up] Offering Discounts to new students yet to take classes with you

You want to give discount only to

New students
Students who have registered but yet to take a class from you

This will work for both the above types of students.

There are 2 ways of doing it - 1. Using Plans & Pricing and 2. Using Discount codes

Steps using Plans and pricing:

Create a segment [Students -> Segments]


Create a new plan. In the restrict option, select the "Restrict using student segment option" - here you will select the new segment that you had just created.
Create a pricing - Give the discounted pricing here

Please Note: Only when the student is signed in, they will be able to see this Plan & Pricing

Steps using Discount codes:

Create a segment [Students -> Segments]

Create a new Discount code: Here's how you can create the discount code

In "Step 3: Choose eligible students" -> Select "Open to only these student segments.." -> Select the newly created segment
