[Write-up] Fix multiple Zoom Recordings for the Same Class [only when streamed from Zoom]
This is applicable only for videos streamed directly from Zoom and only when there are multiple recordings for the same class
If a class has multiple Zoom recordings for the same session, PracticeNow may show the same password for the recordings. This can prevent students from accessing the correct video.
How to fix it
Step 1: Delete the incorrect recording in PracticeNow
In the PracticeNow Admin, delete the recording that you do not want to stream.
Go to Classes -> Videos -> Delete
Step 2: Copy the password shown in PracticeNow
Click Watch on the recording you want to keep.
Copy the password shown there.
Step 3: Change the password of the correct Zoom recording
Log in to your Zoom Web Portal and:
- Go to Recordings from the left-hand menu.
- Select the Cloud Recordings tab.
- Find the recording you want to stream through PracticeNow.
- Click Share next to the recording.
- In Sharing Settings, find Password Protect.
- Replace the existing password with the password you copied from PracticeNow.
- Click Save and Close.
Once the Zoom recording has the same password as the one shown in PracticeNow, students should be able to access the video normally.
