[Write-up] Pricing: How to Edit, Publish/Unpublish, Delete, and Activate/Deactivate?

Overview

To manage any pricing, navigate to:

Studio Info → Plans & Pricing → All Pricing

From the pricing list, select the specific pricing you want to manage. You can perform the following actions:

  • Edit
  • Publish / Unpublish
  • Delete
  • Activate / Deactivate

1. Edit a Pricing

If you need to modify any details of an existing pricing:

  1. Go to Studio Info → Plans & Pricing → All Pricing.
  2. Locate the pricing.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Update the required details.
  5. Save the changes.

Editing allows you to modify the pricing configuration without affecting its availability status.

2. Publish / Unpublish a Pricing

Publish

Publishing a pricing makes it available on the student side, allowing students to:

  • View the pricing
  • Purchase the subscription

Unpublish

Unpublishing a pricing removes it from the student side, so students can no longer view or purchase it.

However:

  • The pricing remains available in the admin panel.
  • Admins can still use it to create manual subscriptions.

3. Delete a Pricing

Deleting permanently removes the pricing from:

  • The student side
  • The admin panel

Important

A pricing cannot be deleted if it has any active subscriptions associated with it.

In such cases, you can:

  • Unpublish the pricing, or
  • Deactivate the pricing

until the active subscriptions expire.

4. Activate / Deactivate a Pricing

Activate

An activated pricing can be:

  • Viewed and purchased by students (if published)
  • Used by admins to create manual subscriptions

Deactivate

Deactivating a pricing means:

  • Students cannot purchase this pricing
  • Admins cannot use the pricing to create manual subscriptions.
  • The pricing remains visible in the admin panel for reference and record-keeping.

Common Use Cases for Deactivation

Deactivation is typically used when:

  • The pricing is outdated.
  • You no longer intend to offer the pricing.
  • You want to retain historical records.
  • The pricing still has active subscriptions and therefore cannot be deleted yet.

Note

When a pricing is created, it is automatically activated.

If you want to stop using it, you can manually deactivate it from the pricing management screen.
