[Write-up] Making Zoom Recordings Available During the Freezing Period

If you want students to access class recordings during their subscription freezing period, ensure the following settings are configured correctly.

Important Notes

• The video recordings must remain available in your Zoom account during the freezing period if you are streaming recordings directly from Zoom.
• By default, watching a recording can trigger a check-in if the student did not originally attend the class.
• A new check-in during the freezing period will automatically unfreeze the student's subscription.

How to Allow Recording Access Without Unfreezing the Subscription

To prevent recordings from triggering attendance/check-ins:

1. In the admin.practicenow.us
2. Click on Classes
3. Click on Zoom Recording Settings
4. Disable the option: "Automatically add check-in..."
5. Click on Update

Once this setting is unchecked:

• Students can watch the recording even if they did not attend the live session.
• Watching the recording will not create a check-in.
• Their subscription will remain in the frozen state.
